Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday a settlement with the Palestinians would be "difficult but achievable," as he addressed a sceptical Israeli public on revived US-sponsored peace talks.
"I know there is a lot of doubt ... and I can understand why it exists," he told reporters at the start of a weekly cabinet meeting. "We want to calm the sceptics, but to do so we need a real partner on the Palestinian side."
